This policy explains how Caplume - a trade name of Panouf AB - handles personal data collected through this website (caplume.com). For how our individual games handle data, see the privacy policy that ships with each game.
Who we are
Panouf AB (organisationsnummer 559134-4360), Sweden, is the data controller for personal data processed via this website. You can reach us about privacy at privacy@caplume.com.
The short version
This is a small studio site. We don't show ads, and we don't sell your data. We only set non-essential (analytics) cookies if you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner. The only personal data we collect is what you hand us directly - your name and email if you sign up to the newsletter, or your message if you use the contact form.
What we collect, and why
Newsletter sign-up
If you sign up, we store the name and email you provide, to send you occasional studio updates. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us. Sign-ups are processed and stored by our forms provider, Netlify, and kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Contact form
When you use the contact form we receive the name, email and message you send, so we can reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (and taking steps at your request). Also processed by Netlify, and kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and keep a reasonable record.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted by Netlify, which processes standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) in server logs to keep the site running and secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Cookies and analytics
We use as few cookies as possible:

Analytics are off by default. If - and only if - you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used (which pages are visited, and roughly where visitors come from). Google acts as our processor; analytics are configured not to be used for advertising, and your full IP address is not stored. You can change your mind at any time (see below).
Your choices
You control analytics through the cookie banner. To change your choice, clear the site's stored data in your browser (or open it in a private window) and the banner will appear again. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Sharing and international transfers
We don't sell your personal data or share it for advertising. Our providers - Netlify (hosting and forms) and Google (analytics, if you've enabled it) - may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email privacy@caplume.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish data protection authority, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY) - imy.se.
Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them through it.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle data, we'll update this page and revise the date above.
